The Figbash Open: Summer 2025 chess tournament was the first official Figbash organized event, though New Years 2025 predates it, this was the first event formally named as such.
Six players signed up, but only four showed up to play. Over the course of the 3-day event, players battled it out across the board.
Rounds 2 and 3 faced delays, and on day three, ShadowPooka nearly had to forfeit their final match, the grand final and deciding factor for 1st and 2nd place.
Fortunately, through good sportsmanlike conduct, that wasn't the outcome. The match was played, and a winner was decided: ShadowPooka, winning their first ever Figbash / Crafters chess event and taking 1st place at the tournament, all without dropping a single game.
